Aerial Silks

Aerial silks introduction

This 4 week session is an Introduction class and all levels and abilities are welcomed.  Students will begin learning fundamental postures of aerial silks; including climbs, locks, holds, and transitions, to safely build a strong foundation in aerial arts.  Each class will include strength and flexibility exercises specific to aerial training.

This 4 week session is for continuing students (1-3 years silks experience). Students will begin learning fundamental postures of aerial silks; including climbs, locks, holds, and transitions, to safely build a strong foundation in aerial arts.  Each class will include strength and flexibility exercises specific to aerial training and time to build aerial vocabulary exploring poses and variations, transitions, and aerial silks choreography/sequencing.

Aerial Silks Intermediate/advanced

This 4 week session for continuing intermediate students, 2 or more years experience.  Students will continue strengthening fundamental postures and developing intermediate postures of aerial silks; including climbs, locks, holds, drops, and transitions, to safely build a strong foundation in aerial arts.  Each class will include strength and flexibility exercises specific to aerial training and time to build aerial vocabulary exploring poses and variations, transitions, and aerial silks choreography/sequencing.

 

Introduction to Lyra

This 4 week session is open to new students, and a great way to start your aerial dance training.  We’ll learn fundamental postures along with transitions to safely build a strong foundation in aerial arts. Each class will include strength and flexibility exercises specific to aerial training. We review and build new skills each week so you are able to progress at your own pace.

This 4 week session is for intermediate students. We’ll learn fundamental and intermediate postures along with transitions to safely build a strong foundation in aerial arts. Each class will include strength and flexibility exercises specific to aerial training and time to work on new shapes, spins, and Lyra choreography. So named for the unique approach to sequencing and encouragement of expressiveness through movement, this weird lyra class will delight the aerial dancer looking to try something new.
